Spodus vs Xero
Keep Xero. It is the rest of the stack we are talking about.
Xero does real accounting and Spodus does not. What Spodus does is everything the books are about: the customers, the deals, the support, the people, on one record, for one flat price.
Xero does one job. Spodus does five.
Everything you'd bolt onto Xero, and pay for separately, is already in one Spodus seat.
Xero
The accounting tool
- Real double-entry accounting, with bank feeds, reconciliation and tax, which Spodus has none of.
- Priced per organisation, with entry plans capping how many invoices and bills you can send.
- The ledger, and only the ledger. No CRM, no help desk, no HR, no shared inbox.
- It knows the invoice, not the customer: the deal that produced it lives in another tool.
Spodus
The whole suite, one seat
- From $29 a month flat, with five products included.
- Invoices raised from deals, on the customer who signed, with no export in between.
- Everyone sees paid, due and overdue, including support, without asking finance.
- Four more products in the price: CRM, HR, help desk and a shared inbox.

Why teams switch.
The invoice knows which deal it came from
Win a deal and the invoice is drafted on that customer, carrying the history. In Xero the invoice arrives with no memory of the sale behind it.
Support can answer the money question
Paid, due and overdue show on the ticket, so an agent never pings finance. Xero keeps that behind its own login.
The four tools around the ledger
A CRM, a help desk, HR and a shared inbox are four more subscriptions next to Xero. Here they are in the same flat price as the invoicing.
It is not the ledger you are overpaying for.
Xero is priced per organisation and does its job well. The cost worth counting is what sits around it: a CRM, a help desk, an HR tool and a shared inbox, as four more subscriptions. Spodus is one flat price from $29 a month for all four plus the invoicing that connects them. Check Xero's current rates on their own pricing page.
Being fair about it.
Where Xero fits better, and it is not a close call: accounting. Double-entry ledgers, bank feeds, reconciliation, tax filing and the tooling your accountant expects are all in Xero and none of them are in Spodus, at any plan. We are not suggesting you cancel it. Most teams should keep Xero for the books and use Spodus for the customers, the deals, the support and the people, with day-to-day invoicing sitting where the work is. If what you want is better accounting, this is the wrong product.
