Client portal software with no seat for the client.
Spodus is client portal software for small service businesses. Your customers search your help articles, raise a request and follow it by a private link, with no account to create and never a seat on your bill. It runs on a Spodus URL with our badge: there is no white label and no custom domain.
Client portal: customers submit and track requests, with no seat.
01
Free for every customer
Portal customers are not seats and never reach the bill, so opening the portal to every customer you have costs nothing extra. Client portal software for agencies here means every client can be given the link, however many there are, and none of them is counted.
Free for every customer
02
Submit and track requests
A customer raises a request, gets a tracking code back, and can check where it has got to whenever they like. No more where-is-my-ticket emails; the reply itself still comes to them by email.
Submit and track requests
03
No account for them to create
A customer opens and tracks a request from a link, with no sign-up and no password. There is nothing to provision and nothing to add to your bill.
No account for them to create
One connected system
The portal is a window into your queue.
What a customer submits is not a copy that somebody re-types. It is the ticket your team works from, on the same customer record the deals and the invoices already hang off, from the moment they press send.
A portal request becomes a ticket in your shared queue, with a number.
It carries the same priority, status and SLA clock as any other ticket.
Your team answers it with that customer's deals and invoices in view.
More in Support & Service.
All five products on every plan, on the same connected data.
A page your customers open to deal with you without emailing a person. In Spodus it does three things: they search your published help articles, they submit a request, and they look up the status of a request by its private link. It is not a login to your CRM, it shows no invoices or files, and nobody using it needs an account.
Do portal users count as paid seats?
No. Your customers never hold a Spodus account at all, so there is no seat to count. You pay for the people on your own team who sign in, and never for the people you serve.
Can customers see their invoices in the portal?
No. The portal is help articles, a request form and a status lookup. Invoices and quotes are sent to the customer directly as a link they can open without an account, which is a different door to the same records.
Can I put the portal on my own domain?
Not yet. The portal runs on a Spodus URL and carries our badge; a custom domain and removing our branding are not built.
Is this branded client portal software?
No. The portal shows your workspace name and the words Powered by Spodus, and that is the whole of the branding. There is no logo upload, no colour to set and no custom domain. Branded client portal software puts your name on the door; this puts your name on the page and ours underneath it. If that matters to a client, say so before you switch.
Is there a white label client portal for agencies?
No. Spodus is not a white label CRM and this is not a white label client portal: it runs on a Spodus URL, shows our badge, and there is no setting to remove either. An agency's clients will see the Spodus name. A white label client portal for agencies, on your own domain with your own logo, is not built, and we would rather say so than let you find out from a client.
Does it work as a client portal for marketing agencies?
For requests, yes. A client portal for marketing agencies here is a place a client raises a request, follows its status and reads the help articles you publish, with no login. It does not show campaign reports, files or invoices, and there is no per-client dashboard: dashboards live inside Spodus and need a seat. Reports still go out the way they do now.
Is it a client portal for web design agencies?
It covers the support half. A client raises a change request or a bug through the portal, it becomes a ticket with an owner and an SLA clock, and the client checks its status by link. What a client portal for web design agencies often adds, proofs, file approval and staging links, is not here: files attach to records inside Spodus and are not shown in the portal.
Is it a client portal for SEO agencies?
For requests and questions, yes; for reports, no. A client portal for SEO agencies usually means monthly rankings and traffic a client can log in and read. Spodus has no such reporting and the portal shows no dashboards. What the client gets is a request form, a status lookup and your help articles, all without an account. Send the report the way you send it today.
Is it a client portal for recruiters?
Only for the client side of the desk. A hiring manager can raise a request and follow it, and read what you publish. A client portal for recruiters that shows candidates, CVs and interview slots is a different thing: Spodus has no candidate object and no applicant tracking, so there is nothing of that kind to show them.
Is it a client portal for consultants?
Yes, at a modest size. A client portal for consultants here is a request form, a status lookup and your published articles, on a link you send once. The consultant's quotes and invoices go to the client as separate links they open without an account. There is no shared file room and no signature step, so contracts stay wherever you sign them now.
Is Spodus one of the Copilot alternatives for a client portal?
Only if the portal is not the reason you are looking. A Copilot alternatives client portal search usually wants a branded portal with messaging, files, invoices and a custom domain, and the Spodus portal has none of those: it is help articles, a request form and a status lookup, on a Spodus URL. What Spodus has that a portal tool does not is the CRM, the tickets and the invoices behind it, on one record.
