Automations can call your own systems over HTTP, and a per-workflow webhook URL lets your systems trigger work in Spodus.

Workflow webhooks in practice.

Trigger workflows from your systems, and call out to them.

01

Trigger a workflow from outside

Give a workflow its own secret URL and POST to it from your systems to start work in Spodus.

02

Call out to your systems

An automation step can POST to any endpoint you control, with the record's fields interpolated into the request.

03

Connect your stack

Wire Spodus to the tools you keep, with events out and data in, no scraping or exports.

Connect your stack

One connected system

One workflow reaches every module.

A call coming in does not land in one app. The steps that run after it are the same steps every automation has, so a single flow can look up a deal, raise an invoice and open a ticket before it answers you.

  • A POST to a workflow URL can create a record in any module.
  • An HTTP step sends the record's own fields on to your system.
  • One builder covers both directions, in and out.

All five products on every plan, on the same connected data.

Questions, answered.

Can I read and write records from my own code?
Only through a workflow. There is no published set of endpoints, no schema document and no client library, and nothing in Spodus authenticates a credential you generate. What it has instead is one URL per workflow that your systems can POST to, and a step that posts back out.
Which plans include this?
Growth and Business. The inbound URL and the outbound HTTP step are one entitlement, so a plan with either has both, and a workspace below it gets a 402 on the URL and a failed step in the run log. Nothing is throttled by the second: every run counts against the plan's monthly automation allowance, 20,000 on Growth and 100,000 on Business.
Can Spodus push events to my system?
Only from inside a workflow. There is no event stream to subscribe to and no list of endpoints to register: you add an HTTP request step, and your URL is called when that workflow runs. So the real question is what starts the workflow — a schedule, a date on a record, an inbound call, a form submission, or someone pressing Run.
How do I authenticate?
With the secret in that workflow's Live URL, sent as an x-webhook-secret header or a query parameter and compared in constant time. It belongs to the one workflow it was minted for and nothing else, and the URL answers only while that automation is Active, so switching the automation off closes it.

Workflow webhooks: included, never an add-on.
