Alternatives to Scoro
Scoro alternatives: five seats, and the suite is the top plan.
Scoro alternatives come up for two reasons. Every Scoro plan starts at five users, so a team of three pays for five. The four plans are split by job: retainers and Gantt are on one plan, quoting and budgets on another, and the whole suite is the top one. Spodus starts at one seat with every product on every plan.

What actually pushes people off Scoro.
Two are on the pricing page. The third is what it takes to run.
Five seats, whether or not you have five people
Every Scoro plan carries a five-user minimum. A studio of three buys five seats and uses three, every month, on every tier. The money is not the point. The point is that the pricing was set for a bigger team than yours, and you find that out on day one.
The suite is four plans, and the whole of it is the top one
Scoro sells its plans by job. Time-billing is the entry plan. Projects & Resources and Quote to Cash sit side by side above it at the same rate, and each has what the other lacks: Gantt, retainers, utilisation and resource planning on one, budgets and estimating on the other. End-to-end is the two combined. A team that needs retainers and quoting together is on the top plan before the trial ends.
It is a system to implement, not a tool to open
Scoro sells onboarding as packages, sized by team and by how many apps you connect. That is honest about what it is: quoting, projects, time, invoicing and reporting that all depend on each other, set up in the right order. An agency of forty does that once and benefits for years. A team of four is still setting it up in month three.
What a Spodus seat is instead.
One seat, five products, and nothing that arrives on a higher plan.
No floor
There is no seat minimum. Three people is three seats on Growth, and the fourth is one more at the same rate. A plan sets storage, automation allowance, workspaces and admin controls. It never sets how many people you must pay for.
Every product on every plan
CRM, invoicing, support, people and team chat are on every plan. Quotes convert to invoices, invoices carry tax rates and recurring schedules, and the deal, the invoice and the ticket sit on one client record. There is no plan where quoting appears for the first time.
Nothing to implement
The five products arrive with their shapes already built. A pipeline has stages, an invoice has a due date and a status, a ticket has an SLA. Custom objects and fields cover the rest. There is no onboarding package, because there is nothing to implement.
What you would be giving up.
Scoro does project accounting and Spodus does not, and it is a wide gap. In Scoro a quote becomes a project with a budget, tracked hours and expenses land against it, the invoice is built from those hours, retainers hold a balance, and utilisation and profitability are reported per client and per person. Spodus has a timer and a weekly timesheet, but no hour becomes an invoice line, and there is no budget against actuals, no retainer balance, no utilisation and no profitability report. Scoro also has Gantt charts, resource planning and purchase orders, none of which exist here. If your business runs on hours against budgets, Scoro is built for that question and Spodus cannot answer it. Spodus fits the small agency that sells, delivers, invoices and supports on one client record and never needed the accounting layer.

Scoro's pricing structure above was read from their own pricing page on 11 September 2026; check it for current rates, which we deliberately do not quote here. Spodus is priced per seat on both Growth and Business, with no seat minimum. Customers in the support portal are free.
Clients and invoices come over. The accounting does not.
Clients, contacts and tasks come over by CSV or Excel, with a column mapping step and duplicate detection; there is no Scoro preset, so you point columns at fields yourself, and tasks land on a Spodus object with statuses kept. Quotes and invoices do not: those are documents Spodus builds and sends, so the ones you have sent stay in Scoro. Nor do time entries, budgets against actuals, retainer balances or utilisation history, because those are the accounting layer and Spodus does not have one to receive them. If the reports are what you use Scoro for, keep it.
