Spodus vs Productive
Everything in the plan, including the free one.
Productive is a strong agency operations tool with its best reporting a tier or two up. Spodus gives every plan all five products, and charges one rate for the people who sign in.
Productive gates the reporting. Spodus ships one plan's worth.
Rate cards, billable approvals and the deeper reports sit on Productive's Professional tier, and forecasting, subsidiaries, SSO and webhooks sit on a quoted one above it. Spodus puts five products in every plan, including Free.
Productive
Agency operations, tiered
- Three tiers, with the top one quoted rather than published.
- The deeper reports and rate cards sit on the middle tier, not the entry one.
- Forecasting, subsidiaries and SSO are on the quoted tier above that.
- AI is a separate add-on, priced on top of the seat.
Spodus
The whole suite, one seat
- Three plans, and every one of them carries all five products.
- Dashboards and custom fields are on every plan, not held back for a higher one.
- Permissions and webhooks unlock on a published rate, not a quote.
- No AI to buy, because there is none in the product to sell you.

Why teams switch.
The plan is the whole product
Every Spodus plan carries CRM, invoicing, support, people and inbox. There is no tier where a module appears for the first time.
Nothing is quoted
Every published plan has a published rate. You can work out what a year costs without booking a call.
The customer side is included
A help desk, a knowledge base and a portal your clients log into are in the same seat, and portal customers never count against it.
The tier you need is rarely the one on the tin.
The entry plan is not where the reporting lives: rate cards, billable approvals and the deeper reports are a tier up, and forecasting, multiple subsidiaries, SSO enforcement and webhooks are on the quoted tier above that. Spodus puts all five products on every plan, so the tier decides limits and control rather than which products you get.
Being fair about it.
Where Productive fits better: running an agency by the numbers. Budgets against actuals, rate cards, billable and expense approvals, resource planning, revenue forecasting and profitability per project are the reason people buy it, and Spodus has none of them. There is no time tracking here, so there is no utilisation, no realisation rate and no answer to whether a retainer made money. Productive is also the more mature product in that lane. If your operating question is which clients are profitable, buy Productive; we cannot answer it.
