What sets us apart
Intercom does one job. Spodus does five.
Everything you'd bolt onto Intercom, and pay for separately, is already in one Spodus seat.
Intercom
The customer messaging tool
- $29 per seat a month on Essential, $85 on Advanced and $132 on Expert.
- Fin costs $0.99 per outcome on top of the seats, so the bill moves with your ticket volume.
- A busy month costs more, so the bill moves with your ticket volume rather than with your team.
- Messaging and support, with the CRM, the invoicing and the HR in other tools.
Spodus
The whole suite, one seat
- Quoted per seat, one rate at any size, with no per-conversation charge at any volume.
- The price does not move when a busy week doubles your tickets.
- Customers are never a seat. Portal users are free and unlimited.
- Four more products in the same price: CRM, finance, HR and a shared inbox.
What the bill is counted by
Then ninety-nine cents an answer.
Intercom Essential is $29 per seat a month, so ten people is $290, and Fin adds $0.99 for every conversation it resolves on top of that.
Intercom figures are their own published prices as of August 2026.
A Spodus bill has one meter.
- Seats, and only seats: the people you give a login.
- Not contacts, not the customers in your portal, not payroll headcount.
- No packs, no bands. The eleventh person is one more seat.
- One rate covers all five products. A plan sets limits and controls, never which products you get.
The argument
Why teams switch.
Three arguments for moving off Intercom, the row-by-row table behind them, and one argument against.
- 01
A bill that does not move with volume
Fin charges $0.99 per outcome on top of the seat, so a busy month costs more. A per-seat bill with nothing metered on top costs the same in the busy month, which is when you can least afford a surprise.
- 02
The account, not just the conversation
Every ticket carries the customer's open deals, revenue and payment status, because the CRM and the ledger are the same system rather than an integration.
- 03
Everything you serve is free
Portal users are unlimited and never a seat, so growing your customer base does not grow the bill.

The honest part
Being fair about it.
Where Intercom fits better, and it is a real gap: autonomous resolution.
Does Spodus have anything like Fin?
Not for autonomous resolution — there's no AI agent closing out a ticket on its own the way Fin does. Spodus does have an AI assistant that can act on a ticket's record, but it asks before it writes rather than resolving anything unattended. If autonomous AI deflection is what you are shopping for, Intercom does it and we do not.
Does the price change with ticket volume?
No. Spodus is per seat, at one flat rate, and portal users are free and unlimited, so a busy month costs exactly what a quiet one costs.
Can we move off Intercom?
Companies and contacts come across by CSV or a guided import, and your help centre content stays with you. Conversations and open tickets do not import: the queue starts clean and they stay in Intercom until they close.
