Spodus vs Teamwork.com
Client work, without the CRM in another subscription.
Teamwork runs projects and a help desk, and tells you to bring your own CRM. Spodus is the CRM, the invoicing, the HR, the support and the inbox on one record, for one flat price.
Teamwork sends you to Salesforce for the CRM. We include it.
Their pricing page recommends integrating HubSpot or Salesforce, because there is no CRM in Teamwork. In Spodus the CRM is one of five products already sharing the record.

Why teams switch.
No CRM to go and buy
Teamwork's own pricing page recommends integrating HubSpot or Salesforce. That is a second subscription and an integration to maintain before a client record exists.
No floor to clear
Basics needs three users and Accelerate five. Spodus starts at one person on a plan priced for up to ten.
The money side is included
Invoicing and payments sit on the same client as the deal and the ticket, rather than in whatever tool you bolt on for billing.
Then buy a CRM.
Teamwork Basics is $9.99 per user a month billed yearly with a three-user minimum, so ten people is $99.90, and their own pricing page sends you to HubSpot or Salesforce for the CRM on top. Spodus is $29 a month flat for up to ten people with the CRM, the invoicing, the HR, the help desk and the inbox all in it.
Being fair about it.
Where Teamwork.com fits better: client project delivery. Time tracking, billable hours, resource and capacity planning and profitability reporting are all things it does and Spodus does not, and time tracking in particular does not exist here at all, with no timesheets and no billable hours anywhere in the product. If you bill clients by tracked hours against project budgets, Teamwork is built for exactly that and Spodus is not.
