Spodus vs Trello

A pipeline is not a card on a board.

Trello applies one idea, the board, to everything. Spodus is a real CRM, ledger, help desk, HR and inbox, with board view included for when a board genuinely is the right way to look at them.

Trello does one job. Spodus does five.

Everything you'd bolt onto Trello, and pay for separately, is already in one Spodus seat.

Trello

The boards tool

  • $5 per user a month on Standard, $10 on Premium, both billed annually.
  • Everything is a card, so a deal, an invoice and a ticket are the same object with different text.
  • Calendar, timeline and table views start at Premium, not on Standard.
  • Partner Power-Ups can carry their own subscription on top of the seat.
Spodus

Spodus

The whole suite, one seat

  • From $29 a month flat, for up to 10 people, not per user.
  • Records, not cards. A deal has a value and a stage; an invoice has a balance and a due date.
  • Every view in every plan. Board, table and calendar are not a tier you climb to.
  • Five products included, with nothing to bolt on and nothing extra to subscribe to.

Why teams switch.

Objects that know what they are

An invoice with a balance, a deal with a close date, a ticket with an SLA timer. A card can be labelled any of those; it cannot behave like them.

No view sitting behind a tier

Trello puts calendar, timeline and table on Premium. Board, table and calendar are in every Spodus plan.

One subscription, not a stack of Power-Ups

The things you would add to Trello to approximate a business, and the partner Power-Ups you would pay for, are already products here.

Cheap per seat, still per seat.

Trello Standard is $5 per user a month and Premium is $10, so ten people is $50 or $100 before any CRM, invoicing, help desk or inbox exists. Spodus is $29 a month flat for up to ten people with all five in the box.

Being fair about it.

Where Trello fits better: it is simpler, and that is a real feature. If all your team needs is a shared board, Trello is easier to learn, cheaper at small scale, and you will be running inside five minutes. Spodus is heavier because it is doing more; if you do not need the more, do not buy it.

Questions, answered.

Isn't Trello much cheaper?
Per seat, yes. As a total, usually not: Trello does not invoice anyone, answer a ticket or hold a pipeline, so the real comparison is Trello plus the three or four tools that do. Ten people on Standard is $50 a month before any of those.
Do I lose my boards?
No. Board view works on any Spodus record with stages, so deals, tasks, tickets and projects all open as boards. Export your Trello cards and import them onto the matching records.
Can I keep using Trello alongside it?
Yes. Plenty of teams keep a board for internal work and run customers, billing and support in Spodus. Nothing here requires you to delete anything.
