Sales & Pipeline

A sales CRM built around the pipeline.

Spodus is a sales CRM for small teams: pipelines with stages you name, deals with an amount, an owner and a close date, and one weighted forecast over everything still open. Contacts and companies sit on the same records. There is no dialer and no email sequences. The invoice is one click from the won deal.

Pipelines in practice.

A sales CRM: every deal through stages you name.

01

Stages you name yourself

Lead, qualified, proposal, won, or whatever your team actually does. Rename, reorder, and add stages without a setup call. That is the whole of pipeline management here: the stages are yours, and a deal is in exactly one of them.

02

A forecast, not a total

Every deal carries its own win probability. The weighted figure multiplies each open deal's amount by that probability and adds them up, so what you report is likely revenue rather than the size of the pipeline.

A forecast, not a total

03

Drag it across the board

Move a deal from proposal to won by dragging the card, and the record's stage changes with it. No form, no dropdown, and every column carries its count so a pile-up is obvious.

04

The customer record under every deal

A deal points at a contact and a company, and both are real records rather than names typed into a box. Open the company and see every deal, ticket and invoice against it. That is CRM lead management, sales customer management and a prospect CRM in one place: the person, the account and what you are selling them.

05

Synced email, no sequences

Connect a Gmail or Outlook mailbox over IMAP and the last ninety days of mail with a contact show on their record, threaded, and you reply from there. Inside sales CRM software usually bundles a dialer and sequences. Spodus does not: it is the CRM inside sales reps keep open beside the mailbox, not a replacement for the phone.

06

The sales invoice, one click from the won deal

Most sales CRM programs stop at closed-won and hand you to a billing tool. Spodus is CRM software for sales team members who also send the invoice: convert the won deal and the sales invoice opens with the customer and the amount already on it, on the same record support reads.

One connected system

Sales and CRM, wired to the rest of the business.

A stage change here does not stop at the pipeline. A rule can open a task, brief support or draft the invoice in the same system, so CRM and sales management stay on one record instead of in two tools.

  • Deal hits won, a rule drafts the invoice for finance.
  • Stage moves to proposal, a quote is ready to send.
  • Close date slips, a task lands on the owner's list.

Questions, answered.

Can I run more than one pipeline?
Yes. Sales pipeline software often gives you one board. Here you keep a separate pipeline for new business, renewals and partnerships, each with its own stages and its own count per stage. A software sales pipeline, an agency pipeline and a renewals pipeline can run side by side.
How is the weighted total calculated?
Each deal carries a win probability. The weighted figure multiplies every open deal's amount by its own probability and adds them up, leaving out anything already won or lost. It is one number over the pipeline rather than a total sitting on each stage.
Can I change stages after deals are already in the pipeline?
Yes. Rename or reorder stages any time, and existing deals move with them. Nothing gets lost.
Is Spodus a sales CRM, a pipeline CRM or CRM and sales software?
They are all the same thing: a place to keep contacts, deals and stages. Vendors call it a sales CRM, a pipeline CRM or sales and CRM software. What differs is what sits beside it. Here the pipeline shares its records with the invoice, the ticket and the client portal.
Which is it: sales CRM software, sales CRM tools, sales CRM systems or sales CRM platforms?
Any of them, and sales customer relationship management software is the long form. People also type CRM & sales software, sales & CRM or sales for CRM. Each name means the same board of contacts, deals and stages, and this page is that board. Pick the tool by what sits on the record beside the deal, not by the name the vendor chose.
How is this different from sales pipeline management software or a sales pipeline management CRM?
At the board, it is not. Sales pipeline management tools and a sales pipeline CRM both mean a board with stages and a count per column, and that board is here. The difference is after the win. Here the sales CRM pipeline hands the won deal to billing on the same record, with no export. That is what CRM sales pipeline management adds over a stand-alone board.
Is it the best sales CRM for a small team?
We will not call it the best sales CRM; test it against your own week. What people mean by the best CRM for sales teams is usually the one the team keeps up to date, and a CRM for sales team leads who also send the invoice has a reason to be kept up to date: the won deal becomes the invoice, so the pipeline has to be right. If a dialer or sequences decide it, pick something else.
Is it a sales and marketing CRM?
No. Spodus is not a sales and marketing CRM. Search for a sales marketing CRM or a CRM sales marketing suite and you will find tools that run campaigns and sequences; Spodus runs none. It holds the leads you already have, moves them through stages and hands the won deal to billing. For the workflow rules it does run, see the automations page.
Does it work as a cold calling CRM or a lead generation CRM?
Only in part. A cold calling CRM needs a dialer, and Spodus has none: you dial on your own phone and write a note on the deal afterwards. A lead generation CRM finds leads for you, and Spodus does not: it holds the leads you bring in. It can host a simple lead form you share by link, and a form on your own site can call a workflow URL. That is as close as it gets.
Is Spodus a cloud sales CRM?
Yes, and only that. Spodus runs in our cloud; there is nothing to install and no server of your own to look after. If you know Salesforce Sales Cloud CRM, the shape is the same at a smaller size: a sales CRM cloud-hosted for you, opened in a browser, with the record and the pipeline on one screen.
What does a sales manager get?
The weighted forecast, the count per stage, and dashboard widgets over the pipeline. As a sales tracking CRM it logs every stage, owner and amount change on the deal, in order, so a review is a list of what happened. As a sales automation CRM it can open a task, create an invoice or send one email when a deal moves; it cannot send a sequence. Sales management CRM systems with territories and call recording are a different product.
Can I switch from Pipedrive, HubSpot or Salesmate?
Yes, by CSV. Export contacts, companies and deals from the old tool and import them. Headers from HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce and Zoho CRM are recognised on sight; any other export, Salesmate or Close included, is a few minutes of matching columns by hand. Rows that already exist here are skipped rather than doubled. Only the records come across, not the old tool's notes or email history.

Pipelines: included, never an add-on.
