Share a board with people
Give named people their own access to one board, from Full access to View only, or hide the board from them, whatever their role allows.
A person's role decides what they can do on every board. Share on a board lets you change that for one person on that one board.
Before you start
- You need to be an owner or admin.
- Per-member sharing is on the Growth plan. On Free and Starter, Spodus refuses a new grant and says which plan has it. Grants you already have keep working, and you can still change or remove them.
Things to know
- A grant overrides the person's role for that board only. Everything else still follows their role. See Roles and permissions.
- There are four levels:
| Level | What the person can do |
|---|---|
| Full access | View, edit and delete records. |
| Can edit | View, edit and comment. Can't delete records. |
| Comment | View and comment on records. Can't change them. |
| View only | Read-only. Can't comment, change or delete. |
- Turning a person's switch off removes their access. People without access don't see the board at all.
- You can't change your own access from this panel.
- The faces on the Share button show who can access the board.
Share a board
- Open the board, for example CRM > Deals.
- Click Share, next to Automate on the row with the views.
- Find the person under Search people.
- Make sure their switch is on.

The change saves straight away. To add someone who isn't in the workspace yet, click Invite to workspace.

Put someone back on their role
