Bulk edit
Select many rows in a table, then assign them, set a field, export them or delete them together, instead of editing each record one by one.
When many records need the same change, select them in the table and change them in one go.
Things to know
- You can only change or delete what your role lets you. If you can't edit a board, you see "You don't have permission to edit" followed by the board's name.
- Deleted records go to Trash for everyone in the workspace. You can restore them for 30 days. See Trash.
- Invoices that have been sent can't be deleted in bulk.
Select rows
- Open a list in the table layout, for example CRM > Contacts.
- Tick the box at the start of each row you want.
- Hold Shift and click to select a range of rows.
- Tick the box in the header row to select every row in the list. Filter the list first to narrow it down. See Filter, sort and group.
A bar appears at the bottom, showing how many you've selected.
Change the selected records
Use the buttons on the bar:
- Assign sets the owner or assignee on all of them. It shows on boards with an owner or assignee.
- Edit opens Set a field. Pick a dropdown or relation field, then the value to give every selected record.
- Export downloads the selected records as a CSV file.
- Delete moves them to Trash. Confirm in the window that opens. Right after, click Undo to bring them back.
Click ✕ on the bar to clear the selection.
Extra actions on some boards
- On Contacts, Add to sequence enrolls the selected people in a sequence. You can add up to 1,000 people at a time. See Enroll contacts.
- On Invoices, Send sends the selected draft invoices to their clients, after you confirm.
