Views and boardsUpdated
Save a view
Save a filtered, sorted list as a view, then make it private, pin it, set it as your default, rename, duplicate or delete it.
A view is a saved way of looking at a list: its filters, sorts, grouping, layout and columns. Save the ones you use every day, so you don't rebuild them.
Things to know
- Views sit as tabs above every list. The first tab shows every record, for example All contacts.
- Saved views are shared with everyone in the workspace, unless you turn on Only visible to me.
- Every list comes with ready-made views. For example, Deals has Pipeline, My deals, Closing this month and Won and lost. Tasks has My tasks, Overdue, This week and By status.
- Ready-made views can be hidden but not renamed or deleted. To bring a hidden view back, click + next to the tabs and pick it under Hidden views.
- Changes to a saved view are never saved on their own. A dot on the tab means it has Unsaved changes.
Save a view
- Open the list and set up the filters, sort and layout you want. See Filter, sort and group.
- Click Save view on the toolbar.
- Type a View name.
- Click Save view.
The new view appears as a tab with the others. You can drag tabs to reorder them.
Change a saved view
- Open the view's tab and change its filters, sort, layout or columns.
- Click Save to keep the changes, or Reset to throw them away.
Make a view private, pinned or your default
- Click the ⋯ on the view's tab.
- Choose an option:
- Set as my default opens this view first when you open the list. It changes only your own default. Clear my default undoes it.
- Pin keeps the view on the tab bar, so it never moves into More when space runs out.
- Only visible to me hides the view from your team.
- Rename or Duplicate the view.
- Copy link copies a link to the view. See Share a view link.
- Delete view… deletes it. Its filters, sorts and column layout are lost. The records are not affected.
On a ready-made view, Hide takes the place of Delete view….
