Ask about a file
Attach a PDF, CSV, text file or image to your Ask Spodus question, or pick a file already on a record, and ask about what's in it.
Ask Spodus can read a file along with your question. Upload one from your computer, or pick one that's already attached to a record.
Things to know
- Ask Spodus reads PDF, TXT, CSV and MD files, and PNG, JPG, GIF and WEBP images.
- Each file can be up to 10 MB. The files on one question can be up to 20 MB together.
- You can add up to 3 files per question.
- A file picked from a record isn't copied. Ask Spodus checks that you can still see it each time it reads it.
Upload a file
- In the Ask Spodus box, click Attach a file (the paperclip).
- Click Upload a file and choose one or more files.
- Type your question, such as "What are the payment terms in this contract?", and press Enter.
Your question sends once the files finish uploading. If a file doesn't upload, retry it or remove it.
Use a file from a record
- Click Attach a file, then From a record….
- Under Record, search for the record and pick it.
- Pick a file from its list. Files Ask Spodus can't read are dimmed and marked Not a type Ask Spodus reads.
- Type your question and press Enter.
