Table view
Work with records in rows and columns: edit cells in place, resize columns, add totals at the bottom, filter by a cell and set row height.
The table shows one row per record and one column per field. Most lists open as a table. To switch to it, click the table icon in the layout buttons on the right of the toolbar.
Things to know
- Click a cell to change its value in place.
- Right-click a row for Open, Open in new tab, Copy link and Delete.
- Column widths, order, hidden fields and totals are part of the view. See Save a view.
Resize and reorder columns
- To resize a column, drag the right edge of its header.
- To move a column, drag its header left or right.
- To sort by a column or hide it, hover over the header, click the arrow and choose Sort ascending, Sort descending or Hide field.
To show hidden columns or add new ones, see Columns and fields.
Add totals
The calculation row sits at the bottom of the table. Number and currency columns add up on their own.
- Hover over the bottom of a column and click Calculate.
- Choose a calculation: Count, Count filled, Sum, Average, Min or Max. Choose None to clear it.
Text and other non-number columns offer only Count and Count filled. On a deal's win probability, Weighted value shows the amount you can expect.
To hide the row, click Display and turn off Calculation row.
Filter by a cell
- Hover over a value, such as a status or an owner.
- Click Filter by this value (the funnel icon).
The table shows only rows with that value. This works on dropdowns, tags, people, relations, numbers, money, dates, ratings and checkboxes. It doesn't work on text, email, link or phone columns.
Change how the table looks
Click Display and set:
- Row height: Short, Medium or Tall.
- Zebra rows: shade every other row.
- Wrap text: show long text on more than one line.
- Freeze first column: keep the record name in view as you scroll sideways.
Change many rows at once
Tick the boxes on the left of the rows. See Bulk edit.
