Performance reviews
Set the areas every review rates, create the reviews for a cycle, rate and write them up, then share each one with the person reviewed.
Reviews in Spodus are grouped into cycles, such as a quarter. Each review rates a person on the areas your workspace cares about, with notes, and stays private until the reviewer shares it.
Things to know
- A review's statuses are Not started, In progress, Shared and Complete.
- A review is visible to its reviewer and to admins. The person being reviewed sees it once it is Shared or Complete.
- Only the reviewer or an admin can write a review.
- Each area is rated from 1 to 5. The review's overall rating comes from the average: Exceeds at 4 or more, Meets at 3 or more, otherwise Below.
Set the rating areas
The starting areas are Client work, Delivery on time, Teamwork and Ownership. Admins can change them:
- Go to Team > Reviews.
- Click Review options (⋯) and choose Rating areas….
- Type one area per line, then click Save.
Everyone else can open Rating areas… to read the list.
Start a cycle
- On Team > Reviews, click New review.
- Type the Review name, then pick the Person being reviewed and the Reviewer. Set the Type, such as Self or Manager, and the Due date.
- Click Create.
A new review joins the cycle you have open at the top of the page. With All reviews open, it joins the most recent cycle. With no reviews yet, it joins the current quarter, such as Q4 2026. Add one review per person to fill the cycle.
Write and share a review
- Click the review in its cycle.
- Click the stars to rate each area, and write your Notes.
- To finish later, click Save draft. A review you have started moves to In progress.
- When it's ready, click Share. The person can now read it.
- After you have talked it through, click Mark complete.
Share and Mark complete also appear when you point at a review in the list.
Follow the cycle
Click a cycle at the top of the page to see only that cycle, or All reviews to see them all. Each cycle's row shows how many people it covers and what share of its reviews are shared.
To see every review as a table you can sort and filter, click Review options (⋯) and choose Open as table.
