Call from Spodus
Call a contact from their record through your workspace's phone provider, and have every call logged on the right contact or company by itself.
With a phone provider connected, the Call button on a contact rings your phone app and then dials the client. Every call made through the provider is logged on the matching contact or company.
Before you start
- An admin connects your workspace's phone provider in Settings > Phone. Spodus works with Aircall, CloudTalk, Dialpad, JustCall and RingCentral.
- Your user in the phone provider must have the same email as your Spodus account, so Spodus can link the two.
- The contact needs a Phone number. Without one, Call is greyed out.
Things to know
- With Aircall, CloudTalk and Dialpad, Spodus sends the number to your phone app and the app places the call.
- JustCall and RingCentral can't be dialled from Spodus. Call opens your device's own dialer, and the call is still logged.
- If no provider is connected, Call opens your device's dialer.
- A call is logged on the contact or company whose number matches. Admins can see calls that matched nobody in Settings > Phone, under Unmatched calls.
Call a contact
- Open the contact's full page.
- Click Call at the top of the page.
- Answer in your phone app. It then rings the contact.
When the number has gone to your phone app, Spodus says Number sent to and the provider's name.
If a panel opens instead
A Call from Spodus panel means calling through the provider isn't working for you yet. It says why:
- No provider is connected. An admin can click Connect a phone provider.
- The provider rejected the key. An admin can click Open phone settings, disconnect, and connect again.
- Your provider user isn't linked to your Spodus account. Ask an admin to check Settings > Phone.
Click Use this device to make the call from your device's dialer for now.
See your calls
Logged calls appear in the record's Activity, with your other calls, notes and emails.
