Goals and approvalsUpdated
Track goals
See which goals are on track, at risk or behind, what is due in the next two weeks, which goals need an update, and where goals show on records and teams.
Spodus works out where every goal stands, so you can see at a glance which ones need attention.
How a goal's status is set
Spodus compares a goal's progress with how far you are between its Starts and Due dates:
- On track: at or near the expected pace.
- At risk: a little behind the pace.
- Behind: well behind the pace.
- Achieved: the target is reached.
A Yes / No goal isn't behind just because it isn't done yet. It turns At risk, then Behind, only as its due date gets close.
The Goals overview
Go to More > Goals. Four cards sit above the list of goals:
- Overall progress: the average progress of the goals in view, and how many are achieved.
- Health: how many goals are behind, at risk, on track and achieved. Click one to show only those goals. Click it again to show them all.
- Due in the next two weeks: goals not yet achieved that are due within 14 days, and how many are already late. Click the card to show only those goals.
- Not updated lately: typed-in goals with no progress logged in 14 days. Goals that count from records never go stale.
The cards count the goals the list is showing, so filters change them too.
Goals on records
A goal shows on a record when:
- its About field names that record, or
- it counts from records and that record is one it counts, such as a won deal inside the goal's dates.
Open the record's Goals tab to see both lists, under About this record and Counts toward. Click New goal there to add a goal for that record.
Goals on teams and people
- A team's page under Team > Teams lists the team's goals in its Goals section.
- A person's record under Team > People has a Goals section with the goals they own.
- The Goal progress dashboard card shows your three goals most at risk.
