Create events
Add an event to your calendar with a time, place, alert and repeat, link the contacts it's with, or set yourself a quick reminder instead.
The calendar holds two kinds of item. An Event has a start and end time, like a client call. A Reminder is a nudge for yourself at a date, or a date and time.
Things to know
- Events can be seen by the whole workspace unless you set Workspace to Only me. A private event is visible to you alone, admins included.
- New reminders are private to you.
- Invitees are picked from your contacts and leads. Adding them links the event to those people in Spodus. It doesn't email them.
- Alerts come to you, the person who made the event, as a notification.
- New events start with a 10-minute alert. You can change this default. See Calendar settings.
Create an event
- In the left rail, click Calendar.
- Click New event, or press C. You can also click or drag on the calendar to pick the time.
- Type a title.
- Set the start and end, or turn on All day.
- Optionally:
- Click the alert to change it, for example 30 minutes before. You can pick more than one.
- Click Repeat and pick how often. See Edit repeating events.
- Type a location in Add location, or click Video call. See Add a video call.
- Click Add invitees and pick contacts or leads.
- Add notes or a link.
- Click Color to pick a color.
- Click Workspace and choose Only me to keep the event private.
- Click Save.
Click More options to set Show me as to Busy or Free. For a repeating event you also set Repeat until there.
Create a reminder
- Click the arrow next to New event, then click Reminder. Or open New event and switch to the Reminder tab.
- Type what to remind you of.
- Pick the date. Turn on At a time to pick a time too.
- Optionally set Repeat and an Early reminder, such as 1 hour before.
- Click Add reminder.
Change or delete an event
- Click the event on the calendar.
- Click Edit event (the pencil), make your changes and click Save.
- To delete it, click Delete event (the bin) and confirm. It moves to Trash, where it can be restored for 30 days.
You can also drag an event to a new time, or drag its top or bottom edge to change how long it lasts.
Events from a connected Google or Outlook calendar show on your calendar but are read-only in Spodus.
