Publish and embed
Publish a form to get a public link, copy it to send to people, or paste the embed code to show the form inside a page on your website.
A form can be filled in only once it is published. Publishing gives it a public link that anyone can open, with no sign-in. You can send the link or embed the form in your website.
Things to know
- A form needs a name before you can publish it. If it is still "Untitled form", Spodus asks you to name it first.
- Changes you make to a live form show on the public page straight away.
- A live form can still stop taking answers if it has a close date or a response limit. See Design and settings.
Publish a form
- Open the form.
- Click Publish at the top right. The status next to the name changes from Draft to Live.
You can also publish from Share, which offers Publish while the form is a draft.
Share the link
- Click Share at the top.
- Under Link, click Copy.
- Click Open the form to see it as a visitor does.
From the forms list or Form actions (⋯), you can also choose Copy link or Open the form.
Embed the form on your website
- Click Share.
- Under Embed on a website, click Copy code.
- Paste the code into your website's HTML where the form should appear.
The code shows the form in a frame the full width of the space it sits in.
Unpublish a form
- Click Form actions (⋯) and choose Unpublish.
- Confirm with Unpublish.
Anyone with the link then gets a "Page not found" page until you publish again. The responses you already have stay.
