Ask your docs
Ask a question in plain words and get an answer written from the docs you can open, with links to the pages it came from so you can check it.
Ask a question about what your team has written, such as what you agreed with a client, and Ask Spodus answers from your docs. It lists the pages it used, so you can check the answer.
Before you start
- The workspace needs at least one doc. The question box shows on the Docs home once a doc exists.
Things to know
- Ask Spodus searches only the docs you can open. If your role limits you to your own records, it searches only the docs you created or are named on, and says so under the answer.
- It answers from the five pages that best match your question, and reads about the first 400 words of each.
- It matches words. If nothing matches, it says so and lists no pages. Try the words the page itself would use.
- It answers only from your docs. If the pages don't answer the question, it says what they do cover.
- A question can be up to 2,000 characters.
- If you ask many questions in a row, it asks you to wait a moment.
Ask a question
- Go to Docs.
- Type your question in Ask Spodus about your docs at the top of the page.
- Press Enter, or click the send button.
- Read the answer. The pages it used are listed under Answered from. Click one to open it.
To stop a question that's still running, click the stop button.
