Weekly timesheet
Fill in your hours for the week on your timesheet, check them against your target, and submit the week for approval when it's done.
Your timesheet shows the week's hours by task and day. Fill in what you worked, check it against your target, then submit it.
Before you start
- Time tracking must be turned on. See Turn modules on and off.
Things to know
- Weeks run Monday to Sunday. Days follow UTC, so everyone sees the same week.
- Your weekly target is 40 hours unless an admin sets another number. Approved time off lowers it for that week. See Timesheet settings.
- Days on approved leave are marked on the sheet.
- You can submit a week on every plan. Approving weeks is on Growth. See Timesheet approvals.
Open your timesheet
- Go to More > Time tracking.
- Open My timesheet. Use the arrows to move to the previous or next week.
The line above the sheet shows This week against your target, Today, the Billable share and any Empty weekdays. Use the Billable and Project filters to narrow the sheet. Switch between Timesheet and Entries to see the week as a grid or as a list.
Fill in the week
- Click a day's cell on a task's row and type the hours, such as
1h 30m,1:30or1.5. - To put a task on the sheet before you log time on it, click Add task at the foot of the grid and pick it.
- To time a task instead, click the play button on its row.
A cell that holds more than one entry opens a list so you can edit each one.
On a task's ⋯ menu, choose Make billable or Make non-billable, or Remove from timesheet.
Submit the week
- Check the week's hours.
- Click Submit for approval. You need some time logged first.
The week shows as Submitted. To change something, click Withdraw, fix it and submit again. If an admin rejects the week, it shows Rejected. Fix it and click Submit again.
