Summarize and draft replies
Use Ask Spodus actions on a record: summarize it, prepare for a meeting, draft a reply to a ticket, draft a payment reminder or draft a quote.
Record actions are ready-made Ask Spodus jobs for the record you have open. They read the record and write a summary or a draft for you.
Things to know
- Drafts are never sent. You get the text to copy into your email or reply.
- The actions on offer depend on the record:

- Draft quote prices lines from the services you've set up. See Tax rates and services.
- Prepare for meeting needs access to Deals, since it reads the customer through their deals.
- Each action uses credits. See Models and credits.
Run an action from a record
- Open the record, for example a deal or a ticket.
- Click ⋯ (More) at the top of the record.
- Click the action, such as Summarize or Draft reply.
A window opens while Ask Spodus reads the record, then shows the result. Click Copy to copy it.
Run an action from the Ask Spodus box
- In the Ask Spodus box, type
@and pick the record. See Ask about a record. - Type
/. - Under This record, pick the action.
This is how you prepare for a meeting: mention the event with @, then pick Prepare for meeting. On Home, a suggestion such as Prep for your next meeting can also appear.
This record shows when your question mentions exactly one record, or when the chat is about a record.
