Message to task
Turn a chat message into a task in one click. The task links back to the message, and the message shows the task, so nothing gets lost.
When someone asks for something in chat, turn the message into a task so it gets done. The task and the message stay linked both ways.
Things to know
- The task's title starts as the message text, cut to 90 characters. You can change it before you save.
- If someone else wrote the message, the task is assigned to them. You can change the assignee.
- The message shows a chip with the task's name. Click it to open the task.
- The task shows a Source conversation section. Click it to jump back to the message.
Create a task from a message
- In Messages, hover over the message.
- Click Create task (the square + icon).
- The new task opens with the title and assignee filled in. Add a due date or anything else you need.
- Save the task.
Spodus shows "Task created from message". Click View to open the task.
Create a task while you write
- In the message box, click Create (the square + icon with the arrow).
- Click New task.
- Fill in the task and save it.
The task's name is added to your message, so the people you send it to can see it.
