Revenue reports
See who owes you money and for how long, how fast clients pay, what contracts bring in each month, and which clients and projects make money.
Revenue reports answer the money questions: who owes you, how fast clients pay, and which work earns its keep.
Before you start
- The Revenue module must be on. See Turn modules on and off.
- You only see a report if you can read the records it counts, such as invoices and payments.
Things to know
- Amounts are in your base currency.
- Revenue reports have no owner filter. Invoices and payments have no owner.
- Click a headline number to open the invoices or contracts behind it.
- Profitability is on Starter and Growth. Free doesn't list it.
Open a revenue report
- Go to Revenue > Reports. You can also click Dashboards in the rail, then Reports, and look under Revenue.
- Click a report.
Reports with figures and a table
| Report | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Who owes you | Every open invoice as of today. Shows Outstanding, Overdue amount and Overdue invoices, with a table per customer split into Not due yet, 1–30 days, 31–60 days, 61–90 days and Over 90 days. |
| Days to pay | Payments dated in the period. Shows Average days to pay (from the invoice's issue date), Average days late (past its due date), Paid on time and Payments, per customer. |
| Recurring revenue | Monthly and quarterly contracts in force. Shows MRR, ARR, New MRR and Lost MRR. A quarterly fee counts as a third each month. Fees are today's fees, so past changes aren't shown. |
Use Period to change the dates, and Compare to previous period to see the change. Who owes you is a snapshot of today, so it has neither. Export CSV downloads the table.
